Norweigan freestyle hero Kari Traa competes in a Halti outfit 9.12.2003

HALTI AIMS TO THE INTERNATIONAL MARKETS WITH YOUTHFUL FREESTYLE

The Finnish sports and outdoor clothing manufacturer, Halti, has signed a long-term contract with the Norwegian Freestyle National Team. With this cooperation contract Kari Traa, a great personality, daring and ambitious freestyler becomes a co-operation partner with Halti. The aim of this cooperation for Halti is to make All Mountain Collection familiar among the trendy and courageous freestyle as well as to gain international markets and new young customers.

The new generation export professionals

Halti will reach the international moguls with its new partner, the Norwegian Freestyle Team. Team member Kari Traa won last year the female Championship and in the year 2002 she won the gold metal in the Salt Lake City Olympic Games. Besides being at the moment the best female freestyler without any doubt, she has gained international attention to freestyle with her courageous and personal style. In the Ruka World Cup opening competition besides Kari Traa also Ingrid Bertsen and Arild Gorder Hansen from The Norwegian team will compete in Halti All Mountain Collection outfits. From the ski season 2004 onwards these daredevils will be seen in a collection named after them.

The co-operation with the Norwegian Freestyle Team will expand the Halti sponsorship to a new kind of sports that will increase Halti’s recognition and visibility among the young and trendy clients. The co-operation is an important factor in increasing the international exports. Solem AS, the new Norwegian importer of Halti products, has assisted in achieving this contract. Along with this contract Halti will participate in almost all the FIS skiing competitions: alpine skiing, freestyle, cross country skiing, ski jumping and nordic combined.
